Interior drain tile
Interior drain tile alleviates hydrostatic pressure from under the floor. Left unchecked, this pressure will cause water to seep up in the cove area (where the floor meets the foundation wall). Interior drain tile works in conjunction with a sump pit and is a guaranteed solution for cove seepage.
What is interior drain tile?
Interior drain tile involves installing perforated plastic pipes beneath the basement floor to collect and redirect water away from your home's foundation. Interior drain tile is an effective solution for preventing water damage in your basement or crawl space. At ABD Waterproofing, we specialize in interior drain tile installation and can help protect your home from the damaging effects of water intrusion.
Why interior drain tile is important?
Water intrusion can cause a range of issues in your home, from mold and mildew growth to structural damage. Interior drain tile is an effective way to prevent these issues by collecting water before it has a chance to seep into your basement or crawl space. It is the best solution when water is coming up through the floor or in the cove area.
How does interior drain tile work?
Interior drain tile works by creating a drainage system beneath the basement floor. This system consists of a perforated pipe surrounded with stone, and a sump pit/pump. The pipe is installed along the interior perimeter of the basement, and any water that enters under the floor is directed to a perforated pipe. The pipe then carries the water to a sump pump, which pumps it outside the house and away from the foundation.
We use proven techniques and modern industry materials to install interior drain tile systems. Drain Tile installations have a lifetime and transferable warranty. Most complete residential perimeter drain tile systems will vary in cost from $10,000 to $15,000 but can cost more or less based on length.
